It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Lamentations 3:22-25 (KJV)

Bookworm(s)

Though being 9 months pregnant and having a newborn might not be ideal for lots of activities (like housework and laundry and aerobic exercise) it is apparently prime time for getting books knocked off one's reading list.

A few of the books I've tackled the past couple of months:

(all or part of)
What to Expect When You're Expecting
Hypnobirthing
The Official Lamaze Guide
Husband Coached Childbirth
The First Two Years
Having a Mary Spirit
Anna Karenina
Crime & Punishment
The Cross and the Switchblade
Reckless Faith
The Forgotten Garden
A Thousand Splendid Sons

...and I've been eyeing...
The Help
Forgotten God
Jane Eyre
My Antonia

BUT, I'm not the only one who's been doing a lot of reading. Beni has been quite the bookworm himself. In fact we've read his entire book collection MULTIPLE times. ;D

Blessings!

  1. Just bought "The Help" today. I'll bring it when we come down over Labor Day.
